結果がすぐ出る抗原検査はしだいに使われるようになってきているが、人に感染させるはずの最初の5日隔離期間内だと、罹患したかどうかを感知できないことがしばしばある。

■ここに注目■  fail to は「できない」と訳されるが、cannot との違いは、能力があるので当然できるはずなのにできないときに使われる。なお、PCR検査は　PCR tests だが、抗原検査は antigen tests.
